Face-off: SharePoint vs. Confluence for content management
Microsoft's "SharePoint has conquered the enterprise intranet," but its complexity requires expensive third-party help, according to reviews by enterprise users in the IT Central Station community. Meanwhile, user reviews of Atlassian's Confluence say that Confluence is great for posting technical documents, but not great for searching that content.
IT Central Station has produced a 46-page report that compares the two rival content-management systems, based on commentary written by enterprise users of the products. The report includes side-by-side comparisons of pricing, and numerous user comments about the strengths, weaknesses and business benefits of each product.
Download the report, "User Reviews of SharePoint and Atlassian Confluence," to read detailed user reviews about these rival systems.
